The Inka bridge of “Queswachaka” is built over Apurimac River, it is considered the last Inka bridge.
The bridge requires maintenance annually since the straw used for its construction suffers wear as a result of the weather, the reconstruction is in charge of the peasant communities that benefit from this bridge, such as the Perccaro, Huichi and Qqewe communities.
This ritual is performed on the second Sunday of June with a duration of 3 days, the dimension of the bridge is 33m long and 1.20m wide.
And you, do you dare to cross it?
- Pick up at your hotel at 4:30 am approx.
- Transportation to Combata by car for approximately 2 hours, here we will have our breakfast.
- Transportation to Queswachaka where we will receive tourist information from the our guide. You can cross the bridge if you wish.
- Return to Combapata for take lunch.
- In Combapata we can visit the lookout from where we will see 4 lakes: Pomacanchi, Acopia, Asnaqocha and Pampamarca or Tungasuca.
- Finally return to Cusco ending the tour at approximately 5pm.
